KnowMapped Embed places a public map directly inside your page. Visitors can explore it there while you control basics such as title visibility and height.

How embedding works

From public map to published page.

Once a map is public, you can place it on another site without creating or maintaining a second copy.

Choose a public map

Only maps you have chosen to make public can be embedded on another website.

Add it to your site

Use a plugin, shortcode, or the KnowMapped Embed component, depending on how your site is built.

Keep it connected

The embedded view reflects the current public map, so updates in KnowMapped appear without rebuilding the page.

Explore

Readers can explore the map directly on the page.

They can select concepts, follow relationships, zoom, and move through the map without opening a separate KnowMapped page.

Layout

Embeds adjust to the page.

Maps resize with the available width, so the same embed can work in articles, course pages, and other layouts.

Privacy

Only public maps can be embedded.

A map has to be public before it can appear on another website. Private maps stay inside KnowMapped.

Choose how the map appears.

Set options such as title visibility, width, and height to suit the page where the map is being published.
